Head of Product & Delivery

ProductDeliveryClient-FacingAI PrototypingCQ
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (US time-zone overlap) · Full-time

Take ideas from our founder and needs from US clients — understand the why — and turn them into complete, world-class product. Our founder opens more opportunities than we can turn into finished product, and our engineers can build. What sits between the idea and the build — understanding what the client actually needs, deciding what to make, and driving it to done — is the seat. You own product and delivery on CQ and a US client platform, lead day-to-day delivery with our engineering team, and take briefs directly from Erik. You own the what and the why; engineering owns the how.

Where You Sit

No departments and no layers. You're one step from the founder and you take briefs from him directly.

You own the what and the why. The Senior Product Engineer owns the how. Marketing is not part of this role.

The Person

You're a product builder first. When someone hands you a task, your first question is why. You can open a screen and see in five minutes what's wrong with it — and show what right looks like. You don't stop at 80%. You've taken a team that ran on heroics and put it on a rhythm. And you want to grow into a leader here, over years, not collect one more logo.

Ownership

Give you a mission and you get it done — including the parts that weren't technically your job.

Hunger

You go looking for feedback, change because of it, and bring ideas nobody asked for.

Commitment

Dedicated to Renn, no side projects, and thinking in five-year horizons. You tell people bad news early.

What You'll Do

What You'll Own

  • CQ — our fundraising platform for emerging fund managers, live with US clients. You run the product day to day: client feedback, scoping, shipping, and advancing its AI agent features.
  • A US client platform — a production platform we build for a US firm. You manage the client's progress end to end, run the calls, own every follow-up, and direct the engineers building it.
  • How we deliver — today delivery runs on brute force. You build the system that replaces it: weekly planning, specs the team can build from, a definition of done, and status nobody has to chase.
  • Ideas into prototypes — our founder hands you a few lines. You come back with several working AI-built versions and a recommendation, in days not weeks. You also pull ideas from our pipeline and test them.

Your First 90 Days

  • Day 14 — The team runs on a delivery system you built: weekly planning, a spec template, a definition of done, a quality check, and status anyone can see.
  • Day 30 — You're running CQ day to day. Shipping every day. Client feedback answered within 24 hours. A scoped feature goes from idea to built within a week — and it's 100% finished.
  • Day 60 — You're running the client platform. You set the agenda, run the client calls, and every weekly update shows working software.
  • Day 90 — Ideas come straight to you. A brief from Erik becomes three prototype versions and a recommendation within 72 hours.

Our Quality Bar

  • Intent — whoever built it can explain what problem it solves and for whom.
  • Workflow — the end-to-end flow makes sense. No dead ends, no clumsy paths.
  • UI — it looks and feels like a US-grade product, not a developer draft.
  • Complete — nothing missing: every state, edge case, and piece of copy.
  • Finished — no MVP left behind and forgotten.

How We Hire

  • Step 1 — Intro call (30 min, with Ryan): your goals, what you're great at, what you're not, and whether the role fits your life.
  • Step 2 — Career conversation (90 min, with Ryan): we walk through every role you've had — what you were hired to do, what you're proud of, what went wrong, and why you moved on.
  • Step 3 — Live product exercise (90 min, with Ryan): critique a real product workflow, prototype a fix, write the spec, and defend it. AI tools welcome.
  • Step 4 — Meet Erik (30 min, with our founder): Erik shares an idea in a few lines. Show us how you'd find the goal and get to a first version.
  • Step 5 — References (past managers): you introduce us to people you've worked for. We'll have real conversations with them.

What We're Looking For

  • Product ownership, end to end — you've owned a product or major feature from idea to shipped.
  • Taste in workflow and UI — you can critique a flow and design a better one.
  • Led builders — you've driven engineers to ship, with or without a formal title.
  • Client-facing — you've managed senior or US clients, timelines, and expectations.
  • AI-native — you prototype with AI coding agents every week and read code well enough to judge it.
  • Bilingual — Vietnamese with the team; polished, confident English with leadership and clients.
  • US-hours overlap — 3–4 hours with US Eastern time, most days (roughly 8pm to midnight Vietnam time).
  • Strong plus: private capital, fund, or fintech experience · world-class in tech or finance, fluent in the other · studied or worked abroad (US, UK, Australia, Singapore) · founded something and ran the product yourself · built a delivery process a team kept using after you left.
  • Not for you if: you prefer strategy decks to shipped product · you manage tickets but don't have opinions about the product · you need a complete spec before you can start · you want to keep a side project running · you're looking for a 9-to-5.

What You Get

  • Work directly with Erik Ford — took Kaizen Platform to IPO, $1B+ in capital deployed. You take his briefs first-hand.
  • Real products, real US clients — live platforms in financial services and commerce, not demos.
  • The global game — a seat where AI, capital, and US markets meet, alongside people at the top of their fields.
  • A founding-member seat — ownership from day one, a path to Head of Product across all our ventures, the latest AI tools, and a full Vietnam employment contract.
  • The honest part — this is not a 9-to-5; part of every day runs on US hours, weeks run long, and launches run longer. It's messy: specs are thin and too much ships unfinished, and you'll feel that before you fix it. We run lean, and we're hiring for five years, not one project.
